#### How to Apply

Apply via[ Brown Veterans Application](https://admission.brown.edu/veterans), a veteran-friendly application that allows applicants to highlight their military experience. Applicants will be notified of decisions on a rolling basis.

* Application fee waived for veterans
* Official transcripts (high school & college)
* 2 letters of recommendation - at least one from a military commanding officer/supervisor, and one academic recommendation from a professor/instructor if applicant has recent college courses
* Standardized test scores (Optional for Veteran Application and Transfer Application; required for First-Year Application)
* Video introduction (Optional)
* Joint Services Transcript and/or S2S VetLink Addendum (Optional)
* Resume (Optional)
* Brown offers rolling binding admission as an opportunity for students who are ready to commit to Brown. If admitted under the binding admission plan, students are required to attend Brown and are required to withdraw all pending applications - including those submitted to regular, rolling or (open) early action programs

Veterans and currently serving military personnel are highly encouraged to apply via Brown’s Veterans Application, regardless of their year of high school graduation or any college credits earned to date

#### Financial Aid & Scholarships

* All Veteran Applicants are considered on a need-blind basis
* 100% financial need met without student loans
* Brown will replace all student contributions previously expected from undergraduate student veterans and/or their spouses with a combination of benefits from the VA, University Scholarship, and/or federal grants, fully covering the student’s Cost of Attendance each academic year. Student veterans are required to use any and all eligible benefits prior to receiving University funding
* Brown will support an unlimited number of eligible undergraduate Yellow Ribbon recipients for the academic year 2026-27
